Celebrity Equinox

A Caribbean favorite

Celebrity Equinox, the company’s dedicated Caribbean ship, underwent a $500 million refurbishment in 2019 and, thus, contains many features found on Celebrity's Edge class series, such as the exclusive Retreat space with a sun-splashed deck, a pool and hot tub along with a private bar and restaurant. Many of the ship's design components embrace the tropical destination with outdoor spaces like the inviting half-acre natural grass lawn on the roof deck that includes the primed-for-Instagram Sunset Bar, a glass-making workshop and a three-hole putting course.

The ship's suites, suite-class lounge and ship-wide updated interior décor synthesize the new and old hallmarks that distinguish the Celebrity brand. It’s ideal for any passenger looking to dip their toe into Celebrity's innovative approach to cruising.

Our Inspector's Highlights

  • Come to the spa for the 120 services but stay for the Sea Thermal Suite, a circuit for the senses with a hammam, a crystalarium, a salt room, an infrared sauna, a float room, a section of heated loungers and a rainfall water therapy room.
  • While onboard, enjoy myriad creative and unique activities, like guide-led star gazing, dance lessons or daily glass-blowing demonstrations and classes (you’ll make your own piece to take home) at the Hollywood Hot Glass roof deck studio.
  • Keep the fun going at night with a lengthy list of elevated entertainment options, including the World Class bar's drinking experience, the live concert hosted on the grass lawn on every voyage, the ’60s-style nightclub Quasar's karaoke machine or a show at 1,115-guest Equinox Theatre.
  • The live grass lawn is a one-of-a-kind feature. It’s a great way to feel grounded while on the high seas, especially for cruise newbies. Visit the Lawn Club for croquet and bocce ball, hosted movie nights and live music.
  • You will eat well among Celebrity Equinox’s 10 restaurants and bars. Tuscan Grille creates handmade pasta, Murano’s French continental fare includes tableside presentations and the novel Le Petit Chef is a meal and a show in one with charming animated projections across your table. Sushi on Five will surprise you — it’s not as elaborate as the other dining outlets, but it turns out fresh, delicious sushi (we couldn’t get enough of the spicy ahi tuna) and you can make your own rolls in classes.
