- While you’re unwinding, Fairmont Austin Spa staff might just surprise you with perfectly timed gifts like a glass of bubbles or a mimosa, chilled cucumber slices for your eyes, a cold eucalyptus towel or a heated herbal neck pillow.
- Photographer Slim Aarons was the inspiration for the design of the women’s spa area. The relaxation room boasts a floor-to-ceiling Aarons color print of a Palm Springs poolside scene, while the wet facilities feature retro lounge chairs, potted topiaries and a collage of his black-and-white photos depicting swimsuit-clad celebrities and style icons lounging in and around water throughout the 1950s. The men’s spa area has more of a rustic library feel to it, with dark wood bookshelves displaying volumes by local authors, deep-brown armchairs, eggplant chaise lounges and a TV to enjoy the game while you wait for your treatment.
- Getting ready post-treatment is a snap, as the changing area is stocked with coveted Dyson Supersonic hair dryers and products from Le Labo and eco-friendly Eufora.
- Both relaxation areas provide snacks like housemate granola bars and nuts plus fruit water and tea. You also can order snacks (from crudités with green goddess dressing to pecan pie with bourbon caramel sauce) from the spa menu, which includes an extensive offering of beer and wine.
- In addition to high-end products from brands like Tata Harper and Intraceuticals, the spa has also curated top-of-the-line local offerings from companies like Olive + M and Candle Daddy. Fairmont Spa Austin also makes its own aromatherapeutic scrubs and pillow sprays to give guests as gifts.

- The Austin spa recommends arriving 30 minutes before your
treatment to fill out paperwork and be able to enjoy the facilities before
you’re called back for your service.
- At the start of your massage, you’ll be asked to choose from Tara Aromatherapy oil blends like Stress Relieving (lavender, bergamot, sage), Balancing (ylang-ylang, ginger, eucalyptus, sandalwood), Revitalizing (lemongrass, rosemary, cypress, basil), Detoxifying (fennel, juniper, cypress, grapefruit, black pepper) and Relaxing (chamomile, marjoram, rose and geranium).
- Each treatment room features an incredibly comfortable heated massage table that contours to your body and luxe bedding that will send you into slumber.
- A 20 percent gratuity is automatically added to your bill.

The Facilities
- At the entrance of the Austin spa, you’ll see a unique chandelier inspired by Enchanted Rock, a beautiful pink rock formation near Fredericksburg, Texas. The spectacular statement piece was made by an artist in New Braunfels from the roots of a live oak tree cast in gold and hung with 200 quartz crystals.
- Fairmont Austin Spa’s hydrotherapy solariums each include a eucalyptus steam grotto, dry sauna and saline soaking pool looking out onto the city’s majestic skyline.
- Each locker room features three bathrooms and three spacious showers stocked with Le Labo Rose 31 products and eucalyptus ShowerSpa mist from European Spa Source. Both locker rooms also feature a comprehensive offering of amenities, from dental kits and mouthwash to shoe shine wipes and makeup remover.
- The luxury spa features nine treatment rooms, including two couples’ suites featuring shower jets for wet services like scrubs and wraps.
