VERIFIED LUXURY

Our Inspector's Highlights

  • Be sure to spend some time soaking up the amber glow from the solarium (Himalayan salt room). Lie on a water-filled mattress as the warming light from massive, imported salt block walls boosts your immune system and purify your sun-kissed skin.
  • While the Kuwait spa is coed, ladies looking to sweat it out before relaxing can choose from various fitness options, including a private women’s-only gym and yoga studio.
  • For a different take on meditation, head for the color therapy room. This cool, dark space is illuminated with soothing tones of blue, purple and green that shift to sound waves, all choreographed to music on the surrounding walls.
  • Two themed spa suites offer a personal oasis, whether you’re looking for a romantic escape or a day of pampering with friends. Opt for the Himalayan Suite for access to a private Himalayan salt room, or book the Oriental Suite to enjoy a Jacuzzi and hammam with side-by-side marble scrub tables.
  • Once you’ve completed the steam room, hydro-pool and hammam circuit, finish your session with a visit to the Snow Cabin. Step into an icy, snow-filled room to boost circulation and finish the hot-cold therapy experience.

Things to Know

  • Those looking to visit the solarium should check the hours in advance — certain times are designated for men and women.
  • In keeping with Kuwaiti tradition, female therapists will attend female guests and male therapists will attend the male guests
  • For the best spa experience, arrive 30 to 60 minutes before your scheduled appointment. You’ll want that extra time to indulge in Talise Spa’s sumptuous facilities.

  • Talise Spa at Jumeirah Messilah Beach Hotel & Spa provides an array of Asian-themed therapies, from the singing-bowl-accompanied soothing sound massage to the 170-minute Ultimate Pampering experience (a Hammam Indulgence ritual and Tibet-inspired Ku Nye Massage).
  • Expectant mothers can get a specialized 60- to 90-minute session designed to calm nerves and release tension with body renewal treatments made from Himalayan herb poultices gently massaged into the body.

  • For the latest technology in skin care, try CACI (Computer Aided Cosmetology Instrument) Synergy, a non-surgical version of a facelift.

The Facilities

  • In the relaxation rooms, sip on a variety of organic teas while unwinding in individual curtain-lined areas under modern chandeliers or in the dimly lit open area with heated lounge chairs.
  • In November 2019, the spa acquired state-of-the-art Water Walkers. These underwater treadmills from Japan are ideal for resistance training without the harsh effects of gravity on your joints.
  • Take a step into the mosaic-tiled hydro-pool for water-based relaxation. The flow of water helps relieve stress while the special water jets target pressure-point areas to release muscle tension.
