Conrad Spa Los Angeles

High tech meets traditional wellness
VERIFIED LUXURY

Although petite, Conrad Spa Los Angeles in downtown’s art district is mighty. Whether you like traditional ayurvedic healing or cutting-edge biohacking treatments, the 7,000-square-foot spa with seven treatment rooms carries an extensive menu that covers it all. There’s a service for everyone — even those who aren’t spa-goers (let the therapist design a service to your needs with the Intuitive Massage) or don’t have much time (the 30-minute Quantum Harmonic Therapy is a souped-up power nap with specially composed music that consists of acoustic waves with binaural sounds to release stress).

With calming interiors by Tara Bernerd & Partners of natural materials, like marble and birch wood, the spa includes an infrared sauna, recovery cabins, a shop, an enlightenment lounge and a Gharieni Welnamis wavetable for touchless massages.

Our Inspector's Highlights

  • Facials include skincare products by facialist-to-the-stars Angela Caglia, Augustinus Bader and Codage. You won’t find these lines available at any other spa in town.
  • The private recovery cabins are a unique feature of the downtown L.A. spa. Ideal for combatting jet lag after a long flight, you can unwind in one of these little dens of relaxation while doing a NuCalm meditation or getting a lymphatic leg massage with Normatec Boots or a red-light therapy mask — no disrobing necessary.
  • The spa’s shop is a wonderland for skincare enthusiasts. Stock up on fan favorites like L.A.-based Angela Caglia products, an Esker Beauty body plane tool and serums by the French skincare line Codage.
  • No matter how many bells and whistles a spa has, the therapists are what separates good spas from world-class spas. Conrad Los Angeles Spa has some of the most seasoned, well-trained therapists in the city who create a customized experience suited to your concerns.
  • The spa amenities include complimentaryCore Meditation Trainer Devices in the enlightenment room, The Qi whole-flower tea and gourmet popcorn, and access to the Conrad Los Angeles hotel rooftop pool (if you spend $200 or more on a treatment) and fitness center.

The Treatments

  • Ideal if you have a big event coming up, the Microjet Infusion (using Jet Peel technology and Augustinus Bader serums) is one of the most-requested treatments. It’s like having a non-invasive facelift that leaves your skin looking dewy, smooth and camera-ready.
  • For the ultimate spa day, book the Recover Package. It’s three-plus hours of bliss that includes an infrared sauna, an Esker body planing exfoliation (a treatment exclusive to the Los Angeles spa), a lymphatic massage and finally, the Couture facial with custom-blended serums.
  • Celebrity facialist Angela Caglia designed the Rose Quartz Goddess Facial. The results-driven treatment employs plant-based ingredients and a lipid-lock technology for radiant skin. Your skin will be treated with LED light therapy, microcurrents, exfoliation, extractions, massage, a crystal mask, gua sha, cryotherapy, ultrasound therapy and sonic lifting.
  • Don’t miss perusing the Wellness Bar, anà la carte menu of add-on services, like a scalp massage and eye or decolletage treatments.
