L'Apothecary Spa

A rustic luxury spa in Sedona
Known for signature services in harmony with its creekside setting, L'Apothecary Spa is a rustic but elegant place to relax.

Whether you want to unwind after a hike through Red Rock Country, or want to connect with Sedona’s morning energy during a sunrise outdoor yoga class, the skilled staff makes an effort to individualize each treatment and activity to meet a spa-goer’s specific needs.

The intimate, four-room luxury spa echoes the mantra of the resort L’Auberge de Sedona — the natural beauty of the surrounding landscape is tapped to achieve pure serenity.
Our Inspector's Highlights
  • The founder and formulator at Lotus Wei, a company that specializes in healing flower-based elixirs, created an essence based on Oak Creek. It was designed to enhance clarity, peace and happiness.
  • You’ll find refreshing facials, cleansing body treatments and massages as well as integrative therapies, including cranial sacral treatments, holistic massage and reflexology.
  • For a locally inspired service, try the Desert Flower Massage. Using Swedish and firm-pressure techniques, the rubdown employs essential oils found in desert flowers, including sage (which relieves tension), lavender (which calms the mind) and calendula (which helps with inflammation).
  • This wellness-focused spa kept us relaxed with spa experiences designed by highly attuned spa staff, as well as private holistic and metaphysical offerings.
  • Opt to have a massage creekside under the sycamore trees as a special treatment add-on. This is only available seasonally.
Things to Know
  • The spa’s L’Apothecary space is where guests can go to choose from the area’s rich bounty of healing botanicals and fragrant herbs to custom-blend body care products.
  • Private outdoor yoga and meditation sessions can be scheduled; yoga, in particular, can be customized to focus on your physical, emotion or spiritual needs.
The Facilities
  • At a mixing station equipped with mortar and pestle, a mixologist leads you through a series of exercises to reveal your individual needs, then select organic blending ingredients concoct bath salts and body scrubs.
  • Outside of the apothecary area, spa guests can visit the steam room, locker rooms and a small waiting area with snacks, water and tea, plus take advantage of the outdoor saltwater pool and hot tub with views of the red rocks.
