The Spa at Barnsley Resort takes inspiration from its setting in the Blue Ridge Mountain foothills offering organic ingredients whenever possible. Nature-inspired treatments renew you after outdoor activities, and here are five of our favorites:
1. The Barnsley Rose Body Treatment. Treat your body to a dry brushing, followed by a massage with organic rose body oil and an exfoliating sugar scrub. A steam canopy billows rose- and chamomile-scented steam from head to toe as you relax during a mini eye facial and massage. Lastly, heirloom rose-scented lotion is rubbed onto your body.
2. The Signature Massage. This spa buffet is one of the most popular treatments and includes an hour-long Swedish massage, a cold-stone facial (during which tiny basalt stones are massaged along your sinus cavities) and a foot treatment with refreshing peppermint lotion.
3. The Hydrating Eucalyptus Wrap. This is refreshing aromatherapy at its best: Your skin is treated to an application of rich avocado butter and then wrapped in warmed thermal blankets to revive your muscles. As you relax, a scalp massage and foot massage with refreshing peppermint foot butter will uplift your soles.
4 The Espresso Mineral Scrub. Designed to detoxify and smooth cellulite, this treatment begins with a mineral mud and ground organic coffee scrub and finishes with a full-body application of organic vanilla-scented lotion.
5. The Sports Massage. This massage can be specialized to target major muscle groups used to enjoy the many outdoor activities at the Forbes Travel Guide recommended Barnsley Resort, especially those essential to a golf swing. It features an enzymatic balm to stimulate muscle repair.
The five best treatments at The Spa at Barnsley Resort are: our Legacy Pedicure, the signature massage, Julia Barnsley’s Anti-Aging Facial, the Ultimate Body Treatment and the Espresso Mineral Scrub.
