5 Rooms / 3 Suites
Take a step back into time with a stay at Twelve Oaks Bed & Breakfast — a beautifully resorted, antebellum-style hotel in the heart of the South. Located in Covington, Georgia, the inn is a convenient 40-minute drive from downtown Atlanta and sits right off the historic square in Covington, which gives guests an easy walk to the shops, restaurants and historic buildings in the area. Covington is known as the “Hollywood of the South,” and it shows at Twelve Oaks, which was part of the inspiration for the home in Gone with the Wind with a grand white façade with large columns and an inviting front porch.
Every room is named after a film or television show — with all but one of them named after movies and shows filmed in the area, so you can stay in The Vampire Diaries’ Salvatore Brother’s study or make your home in Suite Home Alabama. The eight rooms stand apart with unique décor and features such as a chromatherapy spa tub in the Steel Magnolias Spa Grand Suite or experience Civil War in the Cannonball Run Grand Suite (with a North versus South chess set), and all are decked out in grand style with hardwood floors and modern touches such as iPod docks and high-definition televisions.
