You don’t absolutely need a reservation to dine at the Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star Meritage restaurant at the Boston Harbor Hotel, but it’s recommended that you make one. The restaurant hosts group dinners and events on any given night, so the small restaurant space can book up quickly. We were recently at Meritage on a Wednesday night, and thanks to two separate group dinners, one side of the restaurant was entirely full. Meritage does a great job of separating large groups from intimate diners, but keep in mind that without a separate, private dining area, larger groups will take up tables, which means reservations are practically essential to ensure your spot at Meritage.
