The interior design of Flagstaff House Restaurant is certainly unique as it’s nestled into the mountains of Boulder. You’ll drive up high into the mountains and find the Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star restaurant off the side of the road with a beautiful lookout area to stand and snap a photo before heading in. At the entrance, you’ll see a private dining room off to the right as well as an outdoor deck, where you can enjoy some cocktails as the sun sets over Boulder. Further inside, you’ll find a small, cozy bar where you can have a post-dinner drink. This leads into the main dining room which features large floor-to-ceilings windows on one side that usher in natural light as well as make the view of Boulder the main focal point. The ceilings are high with glass paneling between wooden beams, giving the fine dining spot more of a lodge-like feel. The design is more traditional than modern and contemporary but feels like it fits within the rustic setting. Tables are dispersed throughout with white tablecloths and a professional staff that pampers you during your meal.
