Does Waldorf Astoria Chicago offer any planned activities?

Waldorf Astoria Chicago doesn’t offer any planned activities per se, but that doesn’t mean you’ll want for things to do at the Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star urban hotel. The European bistro Balsan has both artisanal food (charcuterie, wood oven-fired flatbread, steamed mussels) and a see-and-be-scene vibe, as does the dark clubby lounge Bernard’s Bar.
The pool and fitness center are impressive — the mosaic-tiled lap pool is ensconced in a sleek all-white space and the fitness center includes a Pilates and Gyrotonic studio with complimentary classes. And when you’re finished working up a sweat you can hit the spa’s locker rooms, wet areas and relaxation areas free of charge. The Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star 14,000-square-foot spa itself is a treat, too; services include high-end facials, massages, body treatments, nail treatments and hair services.
Of course, if you’re going to venture outside, you’re a stone’s throw from the high-end shops in the Gold Coast, such as Barneys New York, Marc Jacobs and Prada. If you head just east of the hotel, you’re in the middle of the Magnificent Mile, home to world-class shopping, terrific museums and cultural events alike.
