The specialty cocktails at Play are fittingly fanciful for this Broadmoor bar-restaurant-bowling-alley. Like the food menu, the drinks menu is both globally influenced and locally focused — classics range from a Singapore sling to a mai tai to a mangorita, but these imports are made with local spirits when possible. The Singapore sling, for example, gets a twist with Colorado’s Leopold Bros. gin. Other flavorful tipples at the Colorado Springs restaurant include a Vanilla Storm with Cruzan vanilla rum, Leblon cachaça, pineapple juice and ginger beer; a Pepper Pear with Plymouth gin, pear juice, citrus and Sarawak pepper syrup; and shaved ice spiked with your choice of flavored liqueurs, from peach brandy to acai berry.
