What is the menu like at the Tavern?

As a classic American bar and grill specializing in chophouse fare, the Tavern sports a menu that’s heavy on the surf and turf with all the trimmings. Appetizers range from French onion soup, shrimp cocktail and iceberg wedges to grand seafood platters not only with oysters, clams, and crab legs and claws, but also less-expected treats such as smoked scallops. The standard chops, including filet mignon and New York strip, come with your choice of sauce and side dish — among them the requisite baked potatoes, creamed spinach and buttered asparagus. If you don’t feel like beef, try entrées like pizza or house specialties such as Dover sole meunière. For dessert, comforts are the Tavern’s stock-in-trade, be it chocolate mousse or skillet-baked apple pie.

The Tavern menu is very diverse, but it focuses on prime cut steaks and seafood entrées.  Pasta and chicken dishes, as well as salads and soups make it a menu for everyone to enjoy.
