Ashley Primis is a correspondent who lives in Philadelphia and covers the city for Forbes Travel Guide. Primis was lucky enough to see the world at a young age, thanks to travel-loving parents. During those trips, she became especially enamored with restaurants — there was no better way to understand the culture of a place than through its eateries. After graduating from Duke University, she attended culinary school, in hopes of being a food writer. After cooking at Four Seasons Hotel Philadelphia for a few years, she did just that, and has written about food, restaurants, travel and style for Philadelphia magazine, The Philadelphia Inquirer, Lucky magazine and more.
