What is the scene like at Bistro Laurentien La Coupole?

The scene at Hotel Le Crystal’s Restaurant La Coupole is very active. The restaurant is bustling, beginning with breakfast as hotel guests get a delicious jump-start on their day. At lunch you’ll find local businesspeople and busy shoppers engaged in lively conversation over the delicious prix-fixe menu that allows you to select either signature dishes (such as the restaurant's signature beef tartare) or from a daily changing menu that always offers fish, pasta and meat options. Join hockey fans grabbing a pre-game bite in the early evening for a boisterous level of fun or relax with the evening crowd for an elegant market-fresh dinner with wine. But keep in mind that things get livelier for late-night diners on Saturdays when a DJ spins and the cocktails flow.

How do I get a reservation at Bistro Laurentien La Coupole?

Although reservations aren’t always necessary and walk-ins are more than welcome at Hotel Le Crystal’s La Coupole, we recommend calling ahead to make sure you get a table on the night that you need it. Pre-game dinners are packed with hockey fans who all want to make it to the Bell Centre before the puck drops, and lunches can be very busy. If you’re looking to steal a spot on the terrace or stay for Saturday night’s DJ sets, it’s always a good idea to ensure you’ve got the table you want. Of course, there are worse things than having to wait with one of the Montreal restaurant’s creative cocktails like the Louboutin (Tanqueray Gin, Pama, Chartreuse and housemade syrup) at the comfortable bar. Make your reservation on the website, on Open Table, or by calling 514-373-2300.

Whether you’re tucked away in a private room or booth or sharing a meal in the natural light in the greenhouse, you’ll feel comfortable talking with your fellow diners without concern of being overheard. What is the dress code at Maison Boulud?

Maison Boulud’s elegant atmosphere and upscale fare might suggest a stuffy set of guidelines for diners’ attire, but the restaurant emphasizes comfort over conformity. The establishment welcomes customers of all attire, ranging from casual elegance to cocktail wear, depending on the event and personal taste. The wide range of acceptable dress stems from the varied guests who might be partaking in dinner, including tourists, families, businesspeople, socialites and artists, to name just a few. Expect to see anything from summery dresses and sandals to suits and sequins and everything in between. One important thing to remember when deciding your evening’s outfit, though: you won’t want a tight waistband inhibiting your appetite.
