Raffles Boston

A sleek, sophisticated city addition
VERIFIED LUXURY

A sleek and sexy addition to the city, Raffles Boston is the first North American property from the more than 135-year-old Raffles Hotels & Resorts brand. The mixed-use property features 147 luxurious rooms, fine dining from acclaimed chefs George Mendes and Jody Adams, a high-end Guerlain spa and exclusive residences.

From the three-story lobby that starts at the 17th floor to Boston-specific design choices that honor Paul Revere and the Emerald Necklace, guests are firmly grounded in the city. With an ideal location in the Back Bay, many area attractions, including Copley Plaza, the Public Garden and Boston Common, are steps away.

When it’s time to retire to your room — each accommodation boasts a marble bathroom with a full soaking tub, by the way — you’d be forgiven for thinking you are in a friend’s house, rather than a hotel, with Raffles’ classy residential feel.

Our Inspector's Highlights

  • Upon check-in, guests receive a Boston Sling, a nod to the Singapore Sling gin-based cocktail the hotel originated and made famous at its first property in 1915.
  • With spectacular views of the South End from its 17th-floor perch, the Long Bar & Terrace is a lovely place to enjoy a drink.
  • All room categories include butler service, a luxurious perk when you want special requests, reservations in town or someone to simply unpack your bags.
  • Guests can enjoy a swim at the fourth-floor indoor pool with city views, enjoy the hot tub or work out in the large gym. The Guerlain Spa offers three treatment rooms, a couples’ treatment suite, saunas, steam rooms and ice showers.
  • Should you require a baby grand piano during your stay, the 2,167-square-foot Raffles Suite has one, along with a fireplace, full bar and a dining table that seats 10.

Things to Know

  • For dining and drinking at this sophisticated property, you’ll need to dress the part: no baseball caps or athletic gear are allowed.
  • Afternoon tea is a time-honored tradition at Raffles and the Boston hotel will launch its sure-to-be-popular service in early 2024.
  • The two-story Blind Duck is one of the most recent venues in the hotel to open and it’s already captivating visitors with its speakeasy-type energy and rotating mix of cocktails.
