Desserts are decadent at Chaz on the Plaza, so be sure to save room. The list of flavorful choices includes pineapple upside-down cake; pistachio and tarragon roulade; jasmine tea cream tart with glazed kiwi fruit, Meyer lemon meringue, champagne and elderflower sauce; and vanilla bean crème brûlée with a burnt-sugar crust and sweet-tea-poached blackberries (the preparation rotates, but the crème brûlée is a menu mainstay). And for guests with a craving for chocolate, there’s a chocolate mousse option. If you can’t decide on just one selection — who could? — order a sampling of three desserts for $12 (each alone is $7). And for the kiddies who haven’t quite developed their dessert palate, there’s always ice cream for them. Order a cappuccino or latte to enjoy the Kansas City restaurant’s exclusive blend of Parisi artisan coffee. Or skip that altogether and order a dessert wine instead — there are two great ones on the menu.
