The best souvenir from Knoxville is anything with a dogwood design — including jewelry, clothing, mugs, plates, posters and tote bags. Knoxville hosts the Dogwood Arts Festival every April heralding the start of spring with a parade, photography and fine art exhibits, theatrical performances and music concerts of all types. The festival is named for Knoxville’s favorite flower and the town is filled with images of the popular pink and white blossoms. The festival, which lasts the entire month, is more than 50 years old and most of the events are free. But regardless if you attend the festival, an item emblazed with Knoxville’s favored flower is an excellent thing to bring home.
