The American Club’s Straits Course at Whistling Straits has twice hosted the PGA Championship, first in 2004 and most recently in 2010, making it one of just 11 public courses in the nation you can play that have hosted a men’s Major. It also hosted the U.S. Senior Open, a Champions Tour Major, in 2007. The course is scheduled to welcome the PGA Championship again in 2015 and the Ryder Cup in 2020. The Irish Course at Whistling Straits has hosted the international Palmer Cup competition, amateur golf’s version of the Ryder Cup. Blackwolf Run has hosted the U.S. Women’s Open, an LPGA Major, in 1998 and again in 2012. The tournament was played both times on a composite course made up of the best holes from both the River and Meadow Valleys courses. This layout also hosted the Andersen Consulting World Golf Championships in 1995, 1996 and 1997.
