The Immigrant Restaurant’s chef, Matthew Bauer, does not typically visit guests’ tables during dinner service. As personable as the young talent is, the chef’s role in the Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star restaurant kitchen is very hands-on, which makes getting away to make dining room visits less than practical. That said, Bauer is very passionate about where he sources his ingredients, as well as the preparation and presentation of his dishes, and loves to talk about his work with interested guests.
