As wine director for the Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star restaurant, Sherer, along with four other sommeliers, ensures that Aureole’s wines are properly stored and that you can easily select the best bottle for your meal.
Since 2005, Sherer has headed Aureole’s program, overseeing the city’s most extensive wine list. While the restaurant’s wine tower houses 10,000 selections, Aureole has a more than 60,000-bottle collection. Under Sherer’s direction, the restaurant’s offerings have grown to more than 2,200 types of international and domestic wines, including a collection of rare, vintage bordeaux. During his rookie year at Aureole Las Vegas, Sherer proved his wine know-how by winning a coveted the James Beard Award for best wine service in America.
