When the lights in St. Mark’s Square go down at 6 p.m., all the restaurants in the area gain an extra level of romance — Canaletto included. The lights inside the main dining room dim as well, amping up the sense of intimacy and privacy inside the Las Vegas restaurant. If you’ve planned a romantic date at Canaletto, we recommend sitting in the dining room, as opposed to the patio area, since the dining room has less noise and fewer diners to contend with. We can’t think of a more romantic end to your meal at Canaletto than sharing the tiramisu as you overlook the Grand Canal and gondolas floating by. You’ll feel far from the glitz and lights of Las Vegas, without having to travel farther than the second floor of The Venetian Resort Hotel Casino.
