There are only two desserts at Javier’s on the Las Vegas strip. One is the fried ice cream, which some might find heavy after a Mexican meal. A far better choice is the flan, which is homemade and outstanding even if you’re not a fan of this dessert. It’s served on a white plate coated in a sweet caramel sauce. The flan is thick, creamy and perfectly sweetened. It’s also richer than most other flan. The chef says the secret is adding extra eggs to the recipe. It’s easy to share the flan although you might just want your own on your second trip to Javier’s.
