Javier’s at ARIA Resort & Casino doesn’t have a special bar menu, but it’s easy to order off the upscale Mexican restaurant’s regular menu at the bar. We like to see what others are ordering, and spotted lots of orders of nachos de la casa, taquitos and queso fundido, which is melted Monterey Jack cheese with sautéed onions, mushrooms and pasilla chilies, topped with chorizo and chipotle chilies. It’s served with corn or flour tortillas. Another good bar choice for those watching their diet is the Javier’s chopped salad made with fresh greens, avocado, red onion, tomatoes, cucumbers, roasted corn and topped with champagne vinaigrette. You can add Jidori chicken, grilled shrimp or fresh Dungeness crab to make it a meal. Other bar patrons at the Las Vegas restaurant were sharing combination platters including the enchilada and tacos or special quesadilla along with their hand-shaken margaritas.
