The brief dessert menu at the upscale Mexican restaurant includes fried ice cream, which is vanilla ice cream coated in a crispy cinnamon shell and flash-fried. It’s perfect for sharing with your dining companion or enjoying all on your own. Our personal favorite was the flan, which is served on a white plate coated in a sweet caramel sauce. The flan is thick, creamy and perfectly sweetened. It’s also richer than most other flans. The chef says the secret is adding extra eggs to the recipe. It’s a true winner, and a great reason to save room for dessert at Javier’s.
