LAVO’s dessert menu has more than just a few dishes — it offers you cocktails, wines, cordials, amaros, grappas, coffees and teas to top off your meal. As far as the dishes go, you’ll see the gelatos, sorbets, fresh fruit and tiramisu that you’d expect to find at an Italian restaurant, but LAVO also a few original spins that’ll keep you salivating. The most popular dessert proves to the Oreo zeppole, which is served with a malted vanilla milkshake. You’ll also see a panna cotta cheesecake, a strawberry shortcake and a rolled chocolate seven-layer cake.
Dessert cocktails include the Tiramisu, a mix of amaretto, Bailey’s and mascarpone; or the Raspberry Truffle, made with Absolut Vanilla, Chambord and white chocolate.
LAVO’s dessert wines include a 2004 MaculanTorcolato and a 2005 Inniskillin Vidal, among others, with cordials including Bertagnoli limoncello and Frangelico. You’ll have a number of amaros and grappas to help you digest your meal, with an amaro tasting for $17 and a grappa tasting for $20. And of course, LAVO offers a selection of specialty coffees and organic teas, in case you need a warm beverage to cap off your dinner.
