The sommelier at Wynn Las Vegas’ Japanese restaurant Mizumi is Louis Hamilton. A resident of Las Vegas for 30 years, he has spent the last 15 working in fine dining establishments. He is Certified Second Level with the Court of Master Sommeliers, American Chapter, and is also the only sommelier at Wynn Las Vegas to have passed the Certified Sake Professional course with John Gauntner, which he completed in 2011. Hamilton has worked at Wynn Las Vegas since its opening in 2005. Prior to Mizumi, he worked at DB Brasserie at Wynn, Fleur by Hubert Keller at Mandalay Bay and Charlie Palmer’s Aureole at Mandalay Bay. Hamilton plans to take his advanced sommelier exam in 2013 and his master sommelier in 2015.
