The executive chef at Taqueria Cañonita is Daniel Marquez. Chef Marquez was born and raised in Mexico City, and he has traveled throughout most of Mexico. He honed his skills in culinary school in Las Vegas and was certified at the Culinary Institute of America in New York and Napa. He was mentored by celebrity chefs Mark Miller and Stephan Pyles.
