The relaxation lounge at MGM Grand Spa & Health Club is divided into two sections; in the smaller area, there are light tan armchairs, plush chairs and a wall-mounted flat-screen TV. Facing the television is an oval, dark wooden table holding two large metal trays filled with bananas and apples. For more refreshments, head to the table along the wall: There’s spiced trail mix, citrus-infused water and a brown basket of Nature Valley granola bars in a variety of flavors. A large martini-glass-like vase with orchids floating in water adds a fresh touch to the table and behind it sits a large, rectangular brass mirror.
In the other part of the Las Vegas spa’s lounge, the pebble-lined walls, checkered tan-on-tan carpet and one wall of shutters make for a lovely place to unwind. Sprawl out on light beige suede chaise lounges and thumb through gossip magazines like Us Weekly and People in plastic binding while you listen to the soft piano music and wait for your therapist to call you into the world of relaxation.
