To find the wet areas of The Health Club at One Aldwych, take the stairs in the locker room down one flight. There, you’ll see a stunning pool scene. The 59-foot-long, 5-foot-deep pool glows from the heavy blue mood lighting along the walls. A projection screen in front of the pool sets the scene with an underwater video. Dive into the chlorine-free waves, and you’ll hear classical music under the water. And as all other parts of One Aldwych hotel, this area features a piece of contemporary art. Blue Arrows, from artist Pol Bury, is a bold blue sign showing distorted white arrows that point up.
Across from the pool, there’s a eucalyptus steam room and cedar sauna. Even if you don’t plan on swimming, be sure to bring a bathing suit — it’s required for the Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star spa’s coed steam room and sauna.
