Low-calorie options are part of the mix when you dine at Aurora in the Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star hotel Altira Macau. Inspired by the fresh, seafood-dominated cuisine of Southern Italy, the menu at Aurora is a lot more than pasta and pizza. Besides those staples, you’ll find that the salad and antipasti sections, especially, are quite healthy. But if you have dietary restrictions or want to watch your caloric intake during your dinner, you’re in luck. Altira’s chef is happy to go off the menu to accommodate your needs. Just discuss with your server how you would like to alter an item on the menu to make it better for you and rest assure that a dish that’s both healthy and satisfying will turn up. Even the dessert section has some options that could be considered healthy, including several flavors of sorbet.
If you want to save your daily calories while you’re dining with us at Aurora, there are a few options to choose from. A few lighter dishes to start include our natural green pea soup with marinated citrus salmon and micro herbs and our garden vegetable salad with buffalo ricotta, carrot coulis and bergamot oil. A good suggestion for a main meal is our handmade fettuccine with Mediterranean mussels, sea urchin, parsley juice and herb oil, or simple tomato pasta. If you’re particularly specific about the calories in your meal, you can also call ahead of your scheduled reservation and we will work with you to help create a special menu with our chef, Michele dell’Aquila.
