Even the pickiest of eaters will find a favorite dish at The Comet, located at 1947 N. Farwell Ave. It’s a Milwaukee restaurant that prides itself on serving hearty comfort food around the clock. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, kids will love the classic Americana menu that features burgers, French fries, macaroni and cheese, plus a made-from-scratch dessert menu.
Locals line up for dinner at Conejito’s, a Mexican restaurant filled with Milwaukee nostalgia. It’s also one of our favorite family-friendly spots in the city. Aside from satisfying any Mexican craving you should have, the authentic fare is easy on the wallet – almost nothing on the menu is over $5. While you’re waiting, nosh on the free basket of chips, order some guacamole or sip a well-deserved margarita.
Take a trip down memory lane at The Chancery, located at 4624 S. 27th St., a family-style pub that serves up classic American cuisine with a contemporary flair. As an added bonus, be sure to stop in for kids’ night on Tuesdays, when your child’s height will be measured and used to determine the price of the meal (a penny per inch).
