If you’re on a Monterey County vacation with your children and want to visit the Bernardus Winery tasting room, you’ll be happy to know that little ones are welcome. Though the tasting room at 5 Carmel Valley Road is cozy, kids are permitted to visit it with their parents. Winery staff said many parents keep their children entertained with movies on an iPad or smart phone (so bring yours along) while the adults busy themselves with tasting the 2009 Marinus Bordeaux-style blend or a silky glass of the 2009 Bernardus pinot noir from Santa Lucia Highlands. And if the kids want to taste something while they’re with you at the Bernardus Winery tasting room, there’s always water and crackers.
