Though it’s in a little commercial district, the area surrounding Bernardus Winery in California’s scenic Carmel Valley is somewhat rural. Most people travel around by car, and you’ll mostly likely want to have a vehicle at your disposal when you plan your visit to the tasting room at 5 West Carmel Valley Road. However, there is a public bus called the Grapevine Express Route 24 that is run by the Monterey-Salinas Transit District, and it stops at Bernardus Winery’s tasting room and most of the other tasting rooms in Carmel Valley. And if you’re a guest at Bernardus Lodge, the staff is happy to drop you off at the Bernardus Winery tasting room in the house car.
