A stylish seaside grill
Brant Point Grill is a Nantucket Island Resorts Restaurant restaurant located within the iconic White Elephant hotel on Nantucket. The spot is known as much for the food as it is for the views — there’s hardly a place with better panoramas anywhere on the island. Brant Point Grill provides perfect views of Nantucket Harbor from its outdoor, covered terrace and from its window-fronted dining room.
Chef Fred Bisaillon’s breakfast, lunch, dinner and Sunday brunch menus are as beloved as the vistas. Focusing on prime, aged steaks and fresh-from-the-docks seafood, Bisaillon turns out innovative twists on New England cuisine — including local Georges Bank cod flavored with chimichurri or the Benedict burger, an eight-ounce Angus patty topped with Canadian bacon, a sunny-side-up egg and tomato béarnaise. His classics are just as thrilling, whether it’s a clambake for two, a two-pound stuffed lobster or a 16-ounce rib-eye. To every diner’s delight, Bisaillon also creates culinary cocktails such as a towering lobster Bloody Mary (which comes with a skewer of seafood chunks) or house-aged oak-barrel bourbon Manhattan.
The setting and cuisine of Brant Point Grill are matched by stellar service. Though the restaurant and hotel are seasonal — open from mid-April until December — you’ll see the same friendly staff return year after year. The restaurant exudes a certain warmth and is in many ways the epitome of Nantucket — beautiful but understated, classic but fresh, and always ready for a seasonal meal and a sunset cocktail.
