Plated with an artful style and typically drizzled with some sort of scrumptious sauce, everything coming out of the kitchen at Eleven looks as good as it tastes. But the panache in plating doesn’t translate into skimpy portions, as can be the case in some upscale restaurants. Our fish entrees were gracefully set on top of their accompaniment, the cherry frisee salad was delicately peppered with flakes of goat cheese and the strawberry blondie we ordered for dessert was such an aesthetic accomplishment that we had to snap a photo. Overall, chefs seem to take as much care with the arrangement of their dishes as they do with the preparation.
