Forte is only open from November to April, so there’s not much room for seasonal dishes. According to chef John Sexton, the most you’ll see change on the menu are the vegetables and fruits, depending on what’s in season from month to month. The steaks and cuts of meat will likely remain the same, though, if available, the restaurant might offer a rare cut as a special menu item. The seafood is always fresh (a benefit to being on the Florida coast), and on occasion chef Sexton will offer a special appetizer to highlight some of the seafood that just came in. During our visit, we were treated to lobster knuckle tempura with fresh asparagus. It’s a specialty seafood item you’ll see when lobster is in season.
