Sundance Mountain Resort's Sundance Owl Bar is an intimate but casual bar with wood-planked walls and floors, a cozy fireplace and a small platform where live music is performed on Friday and Saturday nights beginning at 9:30 p.m. The Sundance Owl Bar is actually the present-day home of the beautifully restored and historically significant Rosewood Bar. Built in the 1890s, the Rosewood Bar was originally housed in Thermopolis, Wyoming, where it was frequented by Butch Cassidy’s Hole-in-the-Wall Gang. The Rosewood Bar was purchased and moved to the Forbes Travel Guide Recommended hotel by owner Robert Redford, who starred in 1969 Oscar-winning film Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.
