The 1895 Grille serves breakfast daily from 6:30 to 10:30 a.m., and dinner Wednesday through Sunday from 6 to 9 p.m. For both meals, the chef looks to North Carolina’s rich agricultural heritage for inspiration and ingredients. Try a traditional Southern breakfast with biscuits and gravy; or eggs, grits and bacon or sausage from regional farms; or go a lighter route and enjoy fruit and yogurt for your morning meal.
Dinner is where 1895 shines, though. From Southern classics like fried green tomatoes and roasted chicken with collard greens to innovative dishes like anise scented diver scallops and chipotle shrimp and grits — where the grits are served as a soufflé — the kitchen at 1895 Grille’s dishes deliver the flavor, tradition and innovation diners desire.
