Designed to blend seamlessly with Hotel del Coronado’s Victorian splendor, Beach Village’s collection of cottages and villas are crowned in the same red-shingled roofs that have come to epitomize the resort’s iconic Queen Anne style of architecture. While thoroughly modern, the luxury hotel appears as though it has always been a part of the original wooden property. Exterior elements such as whitewashed lap siding and expansive balconies are among the details mimicked. Inside the cottages and villas, the design echoes that of classic California beach bungalows, complete with wide French doors and an abundance of windows that beckon sunlight and frame Pacific vistas. Wide plank wooden floors, flickering fireplaces and walls adorned in whitewashed wainscot add a vintage cottage feel while modern ocean-inspired furnishings add contemporary flair.
