When it comes to views, Santiago is one of the most impressive cities I know - the Andes Mountain range towers surrounds the sky-scrapers creating a photogenic backdrop from almost any part of the city.
If you want panoramic views, then head up Cerro San Cristobal. There's a funicular going up from Barrio Bellavista, or you can take on the hike if you want to earn your view.
For sun-downers, Santiago has some stunning roof terraces. Hotel Noi Vitacura and The W both have rooftop pools with bars alongside them so you can sip a cocktail as you watch the sun disappear.
Speaking of great swimming pools, if you're staying at the Ritz-Carlton (an elegant old-school hotel in Las Condes, next to El Golf Metro Station) you can swim under the stars as their pool has a domed glass roof.
