You’ll be given a key to unlock the mini-bar in your room at Fairmont Olympic Hotel, and while you’ll find plenty of beverages to quench your thirst, you won’t find an overwhelmingly large selection of snacks. In addition to the plain and sour cream and onion-flavored Pringles, the Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star hotel stocks each mini-bar with peanut M&Ms, gummy bears, chocolate-covered cherries, containers of cashews and trail mix, tins of cheese straws, chocolate chip cookies and oatmeal-current biscuits. You’ll find a standard selection of sodas and soft drinks including club soda, tonic water, ginger ale, Coca-Cola, Diet Coke, San Pellegrino orange- and lemon-flavored sodas, orange juice, cranberry juice and Fiji water. Beers include Amstel Light, Heineken and Alaskan Amber, while you’ll have your pick among half bottles of Roederer bubbly, Chateau Ste. Michele chardonnay and Fidelita merlot. Boozier options on offer from the luxury Seattle hotel, meanwhile, include mini bottles of Jose Cuervo, Bacardi, Grey Goose, Macallan, Finlandia, Grand Marnier, Courvoisier, Bombay Sapphire, Kahlua, Johnny Walker Black and Jack Daniel’s. All in all, fairly standard but filled with everything you need to whet your whistle.
