The Lodge at Suncadia is a wonderful place to visit any time of year. The Lodge sits on the eastern side of the Cascade Mountains, in the rain shadow, so it receives significantly less rain than the notoriously cloudy Puget Sound area. In summer, outdoor activities like hiking and fly-fishing are available, while winter brings snow-related pursuits like skiing, snowmobiling and snowshoeing. The shoulder seasons of spring and fall are less busy but no less enticing: the surrounding area is aflame with fall colors in autumn and, in spring, when the snow melts, hiking trails and golf courses begin to welcome travelers.
