The interior design at 8 ½ Otto e Mezzo BOMBANA Shanghai is opulent and refined. Located on the sixth floor of the Associate Mission historical building, the interior has a classic yet modern atmosphere. Some of the walls and columns are fitted with limestone panels, while the ceiling is hung with stainless steel sheets with patterned cut-outs that add flash. Underfoot is plush carpet in a variety of patterns, from geometric shapes of royal blue and cream to a pattern that looks like rounded stones in the private rooms. The restaurant takes up 450 square meters (4,843 square feet) and can seat up to 40 people in the main dining room. Chef Umberto Bombana worked with the Japanese studio Design Post to create the elegant interior.
