Executive chef Julie Donohoe is in charge of all menus at Hotel Indigo Shanghai’s CHAR Bar & Grill, and that includes the desserts. Just as with the savory menu, Donohoe’s dessert presentation is playful and entertaining. Her signature banana cheesecake is served in a custom made cheese box and wrapped in paper. Donohoe’s dessert menu also includes a popular chocolate marquise with cherries and a classic trifle served with mango and lychee custard and jelly.
