At lunchtime (11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.), Jin Xuan offers a series of four different set meals designed to fit your afternoon needs. The first is a six-course “economy” set lunch (RMB188/US$30 per person) that offers a starter, soup and dishes like sweet and sour crisp American Kurobuta pork and a selection of delicate dim sum. The seven-course “healthy” dim sum set (RMB280/US$44 per person) isn’t healthy in a steamed and tasteless way, but is rather traditionally nutritious, offering ingredients like braised tofu and tenderloin steak. To go high-end, try the seven-course business set lunch, with dishes like Chilean sea bass and stir-fried prawns (RMB380/US$60 per person). The only downside with the Jin Xuan business lunch is that you must have a table of at least two ordering the sets, so no dining solo.
