What is the interior design of Pelham’s?

The understated interior design at Pelham’s is befitting of a restaurant inside Waldorf Astoria Shanghai on the Bund — especially one that occupies a ground-floor space in a 101-year-old historic building. The main dining room seats up to 50 people, with 12 more able to fit in the semi-private room. The intimate space is filled with plush carpeting, rich velour banquettes and a single window. Two small oil paintings, one of the Brooklyn Bridge and one of a New York streetscape, hang on the walls. In addition to the two sage green banquettes, there are comfortable square wood tables, which are set with crisp white tablecloths and Christofle silver. The tables are paired with matching chairs upholstered in brown ticking stripe fabric. On the floor, you’ll see a black carpet with a green and purple geometric pattern.
