There’s something sexy about a big, juicy steak, and while Roosevelt Prime Steakhouse’s phenomenal cuts of beef make it an ideal spot for a special, celebratory dinner, it’s not enormously romantic. The private dining rooms are large and are better for accommodating boisterous group dinners colored by bottle after bottle of red wine than they are for a cozy dinner for two. Because portion sizes are large at Roosevelt Prime Steakhouse, those dining à deux may wish to order dishes to share. A large steak served with a salad and one or two sides — especially the sinfully creamy black truffle macaroni and cheese — will likely be enough. If you’d like to up the romance factor of your dinner, ask sommelier Payton Smith if you can take a drink in the restaurant’s neighboring wine shop, where you can pop open a bottle of California wine and toast to your significant other.
