Roosevelt Prime Steakhouse’s interior design is reminiscent of a boys club, with dark burgundy leather chairs, black leather banquettes and dark wood tables. There’s an oriental carpet in the foyer, and a deep-red curtain separating the reception area from the main dining room. In the private dining rooms sit rustic, solid wood tables, and throughout the restaurant, gleaming silverware flanks white plates while napkin sit neatly rolled in a gold ring. In addition to the dining areas, the recommended restaurant also has a cigar room, where titans of industry sink into soft leather club chairs and chomp on cigars — you can bring your own or buy them from the restaurant. Although its décor skews masculine, Roosevelt Prime Steakhouse gets plenty of female customers, mostly local Chinese who love tucking into heavy American dishes like steak, truffle macaroni and cheese and creamed spinach.
