Sushi Oyama is a very romantic place to bring your significant other; the type of restaurant where you’ll spend hours sitting close to your sweetie, sharing excellent food and drink in an intimate environment. If it’s just the two of you, try to snag seats at the bar. You’ll probably have to make a reservation at least a week in advance to ensure prime placement, but it’s worth it. While a bar seat may seem like an odd choice for a dreamy evening, it’s by far the best place to sit. Here, you’ll not only be snuggled up with your significant other, but you’ll have a full view of the brilliant sushi chefs as they work their magic.
The staff at Sushi Oyama is also first rate, courteous without being stuffy and incredibly warm. The one caveat is that we would not suggest Sushi Oyama for a first date — the 10-course omakase meal (chef’s choice) is the only option and, if you’re not sure about the chemistry with your dining partner, your meal will probably end up feeling very long indeed, a discomfort that will surely take away from the brilliance of the chef’s talents. Sushi Oyama is a place to go with likeminded partners.
