The Spa at Mandarin Oriental, Singapore unveiled its new luxurious design in the summer of 2011, after the hotel took over management of the spa and gym facilities. Interior design firm AB Concept, which has outfitted high-end spas, hotels and restaurants all over Asia, decorated the Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star spa.
The new interior uses a warm, natural color palette with dark woods, gray-and-white marble and mother-of-pearl accents. The lighting is dimmed and soft music plays throughout the soothing space, which includes six treatment rooms, a relaxation lounge and men’s and women’s locker rooms with a sauna and steam room. Crafted as an urban getaway, the relaxing, contemporary interior of The Spa at Mandarin Oriental, Singapore helps put your mind at ease; you’ll forget all about the hustle and bustle of the financial district and the striking Singapore skyscrapers right outside — that is, until you set foot on the pool deck, which all spa guests have access to — where you can sit back in a chaise lounge or go for a dip in a sleek infinity pool with views of the harbor and city skyline.
